Zoetropic

Zoetropic is a photo editing app to create cinemagraphs out of your images. Turn your pictures into spectacular moving images that you can then easily export to Instagram and other social networks.

Learning to use Zoetropic is simple thanks to its tutorial and how organic it is to create these small clips. You'll have to place motion arrows on the places where you want the photo to be animated. You can make the arrows whatever size you like, as well as create chains of motion for larger animations.

There are several available tools in Zoetropic: an image stabilizer to avoid distortions, masked areas to keep the image from moving, a zoom to make editing easier... Plus it's got several features typical of more conventional image editors: a multiple selection tool, image crop, eraser...
